Dell Latitude E4200 Review Roundup

E4200 is the first Latitude model that comes with Quartz pink color option. It is also the smallest Latitude Dell has made to date, measuring 11.4-inch wide, 8-inch deep, 0.8-inch thick and weighting only 2.2lbs.

The Latitude E4200 is a stunning machine. Beside pink, it is also available in blue and brushed metal black. Being a business laptop, it's expected that most company will opt for black color, but for young professional ladies, or individualistic executives that fancy something a little more eye-catching, the pink Latitude E4200 is really a great choice. It has an angular & functional appearance with rich finish that will make an immediate and positive impression on any clients you visit, which is surely one of the aims of a modern day business laptop.

Now, let's take a look at a few reviews done on this laptop and see what the pros have to say about it:

2. PC Pro (rating given: 4 out of 6)
"So we have mixed feelings about the Latitude E4200. It looks fantastic and it's incredibly light, and the flexibility offered by the tiny power supply and five-hour-plus battery life will give it real appeal to mobile professionals. The screen, however, is a disappointment, and coupled with a high price means we hold off from a wholehearted recommendation." Read full review

3. Trusted Review (rating given: 9 out of 10)
"So long as you don't need an optical drive, the E4200 is an ideal option for the serious businessperson on the move." Read full review

4. ZDNet Asia (rating given: 7.6 out of 10)
"This is a nicely put-together ultraportable that, with the extended battery, performs well in most areas except graphics. However, its lack of an optical drive could be a drawback, as could the paucity of USB ports. Mobile broadband is a boon, but we're surprised by the lack of an integrated webcam on a system aimed at mobile professionals." Read full review

Conclusion: The biggest drawback for the Latitude E4200 is the lack of integrated optical drive and webcam. And this is apparently the sacrifices that Dell has to make in exchange to the small-size and portability for this laptop. Also, PC Pro seems to be disappointed with the color accuracy and viewing angles for this laptop. Other than that, with its long battery life, small-size, and light-weight, the Latitude E4200 is a fantastic laptop for its portability and flexibility.
